National Skills Fund Work Integrated Learning Project

Project Summary:

ZUDU (Pty) Ltd was entrusted by the National Skills Fund (NSF) to implement a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical experience for graduates and in-service learners. This project commenced in April 2024 and is scheduled for completion in October 2026.

Project Objectives:

  • Equip graduates with practical work experience to complement their academic qualifications.
  • Enable in-service learners to gain the practical skills required to fulfil their job role requirements.
  • Enhance the employability and career prospects of program beneficiaries.

Project Scope:

  • Placement of 108 beneficiaries across various disciplines:
    • 54 Graduates
    • 54 In-Service Learners
  • Disciplines include: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Human Resources, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and more.
  • Nationwide beneficiary placement.
  • Work placement duration ranging from 12 to 24 months.
  • Beneficiaries receive a stipend from the National Skills Fund during their placement.
  • Ongoing coaching and mentorship provided to beneficiaries throughout the program.

ZUDU’s Role:

ZUDU served as the key project implementer, managing all aspects of the program, including:

  • Beneficiary selection and recruitment.
  • Partnership development with businesses to provide work placement opportunities.
  • Program monitoring and evaluation.
  • Ongoing support and guidance to beneficiaries throughout their placement.
